Ostrich Metatarsus Bone – Natural Low-Fat Dog Chew

Our ostrich metatarsus bones offer a substantial chewing experience for dogs that enjoy gnawing. With the tendon still attached, they combine different textures and natural flavour to keep curious dogs interested.

Natural, single-protein ingredients
Made from ostrich, these bones offer an alternative to more common proteins such as beef or chicken. They may suit dogs that need to avoid those ingredients, provided they tolerate ostrich.

Protein and fat content
Containing 30% protein and just 1% fat, these are a low-fat alternative to richer natural chews. Offer occasionally alongside a balanced diet and account for treats within your dog’s daily food allowance.

Chewing enrichment
The firm bone and attached tendon give dogs different textures to explore. How long each chew lasts depends on your dog’s size and chewing style. Choose a bone appropriate for your dog and too large to swallow whole.

Feeding and safety
A complementary treat to offer alongside a balanced diet. Always supervise throughout chewing and provide fresh drinking water.

Hard bones can damage teeth or splinter, creating a risk of choking or injury. Remove loose fragments and discard if the bone cracks, splinters or develops sharp edges. Not recommended for puppies under four months, elderly dogs or dogs with dental problems. Avoid giving to dogs that bite down forcefully on hard bones.

Please note: Size, shape, colour and the amount of attached tendon vary naturally between individual bones.
