Hi, I’m Mia! I’m 30 years old and originally from Bexhill, East Sussex. I moved to Horning in March 2025 and absolutely love it here.

I’ve been around animals my whole life — from cats, dogs and horses to reptiles, fish, and even tarantulas! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and working with them has long been a passion of mine.

I spent 10 years working in the care industry, but after becoming ill with a condition called CVS, I realised that care work was no longer the right fit for me. That’s when I decided to focus fully on what I love most — animals.

Once a year, I volunteer for two weeks at my friend’s dog sanctuary, Finding Forever Homes, in Alicante, Spain. There I work with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages — from tiny puppies to golden oldies. This experience has helped me gain confidence working with dogs who may be more nervous or unsure and need a little extra patience and understanding.

Over the years, I’ve also regularly cared for friends’ and family’s pets while they’re away, as well as walking dogs while owners are at work. I officially turned this passion into a business in 2022, and my dream is to continue growing it and do this full-time again.
